True story. Cop on stakeout, falls asleep, other officers open the door, remove his pistol, remove equipment from the car. He tried to defend himself when brought up on dereliction charges. He lost.

I used to bike to work through a mall parking lot that sometimes had a sleeping cop. So I carried my camera until I found him sleeping again... and the battery was dead. Which gives me an idea for a poster.

It's also possible that he drives it because he loves it (see the TercelOnline forum). Notice the gray corner lights, that's not stock, it's either aftermarket, custom, or JDM. these thing can get fast and agile for cheap...

It's more likely that he is driving the Tercel because he is broke and cannot afford anything else. : )
