It's not. It's Demotifake. Where people make things to DEMOTIVATE people. That doesn't mean the posters have to be funny. They can be emotional, or realistic, or funny, or tragic, or whatever people want them to be.

question: why is this here? I have always thought that really depressing stuff is a good way to parody the annoyingly uplifting motivation behind the kinds of poster some of us love to hate. So by that criteria, this poster belongs here.

A part of your frontal cortex lights up when you're in pain in order to cause the sense of revulsion that makes you want the pain to stop. Technically, you're designed for pain to hurt no matter how long it lasts.

That might be technically true, but it’s not been my experience.
Maybe the pain is still there, but I no longer feel it.
