That’s heavy rerun, and man, could I ever get into some mushy peas and chips ‘bout now….

This kid however, looks pretty well fed.
SteveFurlong - March 30, 2012, 12:33 am,
Agreed. And those clothes are in good condition. And you can tell that's freshly-applied dirt and that his/her hair is clean. A good poster concept regardless, just needs an authentically starving kid for more impact.

And another thing: if that kid's family were really starving, wouldn't they have eaten the dog?
CloudchaserS - March 30, 2012, 1:06 am,
What I thought. I came here to say that the kid has a meal right there in his lap. Just because it's cute & fuzzy doesn't mean it's wrong to eat it

And It"s Not Fun !

I like this one Rerun...As for the dog, I'd say it had already been field dressed skinned and eaten. The skin and fur were obviously used for taxidermy purposes.

The image is from an artist who did an entire series on the homeless. The child is actually homeless
GaryO - March 31, 2012, 9:58 am,
Hey, yeah, even though the lad looks to be well fed, he still could be famished, and maybe the 1st pooch was dinner…and he’s quite concerned for his little buddy....boy, those eyes, they’ve seen things that a five year old cannot readily discern……..

I think that as a parent, if I were homeless my 1st priority ould be to make sure my child was fed whatever meager portion of food 1st. I would eat just enough to survive.
