You need to gut your APPWIZ.CPL of all the toolbars and trash.

Don't use toolbars and trash, curly. Although I prefer Chrome, IE's OK, too.

I'm at work doing tec support for Microsoft, Using Chrome as well to look up answers and respond to this comment. I prefer it too, but IE is not the worst.

You know a very fast web browser I use is Dolphin. I was skeptical at first, but I think it's faster than Firefox. And their customer service staff gets back to you even faster!

Browsers are only as fast as your service allows. I live in the weeds in Wyoming. DSL is fast, but not smokin'.

The "do you want to disable some extensions to make IE run faster that pops up every d*** time I open it (rarely used, but still annoying) needs a "Do not ask me again" option

I used IE for the longest time. I got fed up with the freezing up and slow loading. There are things you can do in settings to make it run better, but I got tired of having to troubleshoot it weekly. Been running Chrome problem free last 3 months now.

For a true slice of browser hell, try using AOL software. It truly is a vortex of doom. I'm a Chrome girl.
