Cynicism can eat at your heart
'til there's nothing left.

Sure can. I'm so glad I don't have a heart.

Demon001 is right. There are plenty of homeless out there that don't have drug habits. Plenty who are homeless through no fault of their own.

I wasn't referring to those who are homeless like veterans. This is in blatant reference to teenagers.

And if you're homeless and you're reading this . . . . on your iPad our smartphone . . . . you need to get your priorities straight.

WEll That Sounds Just About Right.

Here, in North America, there is no good reason to beg. None. Period. Vet or teen. The volunteer group I’m with throws away hundreds of lbs of food……every week. Jobs in my area are going unfilled.

There’s work, there’s food, there’s clothing, there’s shelter, there’s programs….but there’s also free money…and it rather pisses me off, because that negates the desire to work for it.

Thanks, Gary. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I suppose it applies to every part of the world. In the east, Islam encourages charity to Muslims and Zen, Buddhist and Hindu monks provide a lot of free food and money. There is no justification for begging, anywhere in the world.
