Thinking a 5% tax increase is equal to Nazi Germany.

No, thinking that letting the feds take over private industry and increase the us vs them mentality does though I was a supporter untill about day 40 Now I just hope this country survives
WTFO - June 5, 2009, 1:41 am,
Historical fact: Hitler rose to power on an "us versus them" platform. He demonized the rich to get the masses to follow him. Certainly, Obama isn't Hitler and isn't going to create some "master race" but those divisive political tactics worked for him.
Preacher Man - June 11, 2009, 2:24 am,
Hitler rose to power by removing civil liberties in the name of fighting an internal terrorist threat that was largely overstated. He defined loyalty to country in terms of supporting his party. Sounds like Bush was more Nazi-like to me.
Agent K - June 11, 2009, 3:31 am,
did you really compare the jews to radical islam???
Fredric T - June 11, 2009, 5:58 pm,
What the point is is the tactics and methods being used This is not trying compare jews and terrorists
Me - June 11, 2009, 6:48 pm,
Agent K, I believe that PM was talking more about his tirades on the Communist threat, also having the Reichstag burned down and blaming it on Communists. This was one of many events that was used in the justification of Emergency decrees
Me - June 11, 2009, 6:50 pm,
Which were used to solidify Nazi power in Germany. And yes all these decrees did slowly erode away people's civil liberties.

Well said Me Look at anyone who has any sort of criticism of the current admin They are dismissed as racist no matter if their concern has merit or not There is no attempt at compromise with the Republicans, its do it or else

Even if the other sides plan is cheaper and is proven to get us back on the plus side using the same methods as the Dems used to study their plan Forcing banks to take the bailout $ or else loose their FDIC was also wrong
