then how did you shift? your shift pattern would be backwards and way too far back to reach. and how did you hook the trany to the diff? if you used a driveshaft even a short one the block would hand out past the back bumper

what you see in the pic is not correct. the engine sits sideways. the drive shaft is actually abut 8 in or so long

an easier way to do it would be to take a 455 rocket out of an olds toronado. take the whole frontwheel drive setup and mountit in the back of the fiero

so in yours you managed to mate the v8 to the fiero trany? is that how you mounted the engine sidways?

all fieros came w/ either an inline 4 or a v-6 mounted sideways. a v8 is exactly the same length as an inline 4. it's just wider. hence carving out the trunk wall to make space there.
