Well, geez, I’ve been all over certain segments of this forum and just realized I haven’t officially introduced myself.
So, here I am sweethearts.
Gary O’

I’m an aging (wrong side of 60) exec from a small electronics firm in Oregon, of which I’m celebrating my 24th anniversary today. Never been so darn long in one place……..I like to fish, butcher wood and words, and do my best to keep up with the reckless pieces of wonderful illumination sometimes referred to as grandkids.
They aren’t old enough for steelheading, but they let me go with ‘em to catch trout.

This little guy , Rdddddmido, Ramiro.....whatever, I call Mayo (can’t roll my tongue).
He’s my official gardener.

And I like to hold him, of which he thoroughly enjoys (check out the eyes)

Anyhoot, I really enjoy the exuberance of the mind play in this forum, and the fruition of the outstanding posters from the gamut of fertile minds on display here.

cheers

Beer
Most anything that’s wet….OK, I’m on an IPA jag, and in search of the perfect brew, of which I may never find (I hope).

Yes, been thru some mead…pretty heady stuff.
Porters are a nice change too.

Other than that, a high end single malt is my choice for sippin’.
Used to take part in an annual cigar, scotch get together.
Kinda fun, spinnin’ lies with old geezers like myself while we prepped tobacco that cost more than a good pair of shoes.

I too love steelhead fishing. For a time, we lived in the Trinity National Wilderness Area in northern Ca~~no electricity, 80 miles to town~~a quarter of a mile from the south fork of the Trinity River, a serpentine-green masterpiece, and mine, all mine. In the years we lived there, I never saw another human being crazy enough to hike down to it (muchless hike back out). I did, however, see black bear, deer, and one early morning, a mountain lion that apparently decided almost 6 feet of woman was more than she wanted to take on. Besides...I had that Eagle Claw pole. Cheers~~Linda

Oh, geez, once steelheading gets in yer blood, yer hooked.
North Cal is great land for most anything.
I have a cabin not far from the Cal border.
Don’t get there enough

Keep yer line wet and yer powder dry, Linda

Actually, Axe, we don't allow personal photos from the forums to make it to the front page. Yes, we do allow posters that poke fun at other members, just nothing with a personal pic in it.

I've been away for a while indeed, and I just take time to warm up to new people :)
