Let me guess, you're just looking for an excuse to use that new deck of LARGE FACE cards?
heh

Somehow I get the feeling we wouldn't get very far in the card game...
kinda hard to focus on what cards you're holding if we're laughing ourselves to tears.

I know, if you can play Euchre, we can be partners. Our opponents wouldn't stand a chance.

Spy, it's sorta similar to Spades, but with a few extra twists, hopefully you've at least heard of that game.
That comment was also directed at Gary, and had I known other posts would pop up so quick, I would have quoted him or specified him as the "target".
It's all good tho... I'm about to top off a good day with a pint of ice cream.

Pretty good guess there, oh antique one.. :)
Just recently turned 46.
Some days it seems more like 56 or 66, others it's more like 36.

Wait till sixty happens
For me it’s the new eighty

Ice cream (?)
Shiiiit, I prefer my sugar already processed.
Just unsealed an aged one
Steppin’ out to the deck to howl at the big star, sip this fine beverage and scare the neighbors

Nite nite

Enjoy it Gary, we shall switch matches... errr.. um... match wits again.
May you drink never turn stale, and may your neighbors never realize it's YOU that's howling.

Well, to get back on topic, here's a tip for anyone looking for any sort of input, even from a newbie like me.
My ramblings may echo the input of others, so forgive me if I sound like a broken record.

Most of my posters start with a picture that captures my attention.
The rest I search for, to either fit an upcoming day's theme, or to go with
and idea that came to me.
When a pic jumps out and screams "POTENTIAL" then I work with it.

What I've learned already is to not just quickly slap something together.
Sure, it might get a chuckle or two, but it lacks something.
Give it time to evolve in your head, there's usually a funnier way to word it.
Sometimes it's just changing a couple key words to make the original idea funnier.

Sometimes a whole new approach reveals itself to you.

For those that have taken the time like I have, to browse through 100's of posters, you'll notice
that occasionally someone will add a comment with a funnier wording of the same thing, or a whole different
approach that makes you laugh more.

Now get out there and make us laugh. (Extra points awarded for causing beverages to exit through the nose)

here's an outline for submitting a poster

DEMOTIVATIONAL POSTER OUTLINE

1 ) Does the picture match the caption? (If not fix it)

2 ) Can you know what your caption is without a caption and only the picture? (If no then fix it)

3 ) Is your grammar and spelling correct? (If no then fix it)

4 ) Is their any foul language of suggestive words or images? (If yes then remove it or change it)

5 ) Is it racist? (If yes then don't submit it)

6 ) Is the image copyrighted or has a water mark? (If yes then find another image)

7 ) Does the poster already exist? (If yes then don't submit)

8 ) Does it have a deep meaning or funny? (If no then don't submit it)

9 ) Is the image another demotivational poster? (If yes then don't submit it)

10 ) Is it in a demotivational poster format? (If no then don't submit it)

if you follow this your demotivational posters will not be completely terrible
