Question: When a poster is rejected, especially for noobs like me, why do mods not put a reason? Yes sometimes they do yet others they don't. Without knowing why a poster is rejected I might make the same mistakes time and time again. Even if that particular mod doesn't find it funny enough, please put the reason. I have had several now and don't know if I have crossed some rule or that there were other reasons that I'm not aware of. IMO putting a reason should be a mandatory requirement not a personal decision. When one of my posters is rejected, I can't even ask in a pm as I have no idea which mod judged it. Can admin or another member explain this to me. I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass, but rather trying to eliminate being a pain in the ass when it comes to creating a successful poster.

(Well miss, the mods get alot of posters that they have to decide on) (and we mean alot) (sometimes they just may not have the time, or if they give a reason on every poster it might just start being redundent) (if you don't get a reason and want one you can always just PM a regular or a mod and ask why they think the poster was rejected) (people like to help out each other here so don't hesitate to ask)

:ditto:

Exactly as Cavey said. Many times when there is no reason your poster just didn't make the cut in comparison to that haul, obviously each group of posters will have some of the what in gods name are you thinking style posters that some crack addict made, but there are lso quite a few good ones sometimes. Yes it is each mod's own decision to put a reason, but sometimes there are too many reasons that differ too much and they can't decide which reason in particular would suit it the best.

And I'll re-state something of Mr. Caveman. If you want to you can send the poster to any one of the regulars, or one of the mods and they will be able to tell you if they would accept or reject it if they were in the mods shoes.

(Ps, you can always send a 'group' message to all the mods at once requesting that the person who rejected the poster contact you and state a reason therefore.)

Thank you Modick and Cavemen (thank you too). It just gets frustrating when I am certain that I've covered all the reasons listed and it still doesn't cut it. Just because of the type of person I am, I feel badly for posting something not acceptable as I should know better because Ive been here a while. And thanks for the suggestions for contacting them. I will try that.

Spy I dont find it obvious and thats why I think it needs clarification. It might be to the mods, but as I dont have a more detailed list of no-nos to follow as they do I dont understand the rejection sometimes (especially when Ive double checked for tags, spelling errors etc.) It would be nice to know. But thanks for the input.

generally we review anywhere from 2 to 30 posters at any given time. I takes too much time to comment on all of them. Best to pm all the mods with the poster in question, the one who rejected it will reply as to why.

Most of them are now "legally protected". You know, taken out of context that sounds really bad.

Pleasure is all ours MissPriss, anytime.

Remember that there is no set guideline or rules, and that it is up to the discretion of the mod at the time. They have a load of experience when it comes to knowing if a poster is allowed or not.

Here's a video worth watching...

The man's name is Nick Vujicic... It is clear what his disability is... Except he takes a whole new perspective to it... At least one that I find commendable under his circumstances... He is worth listening to... Usually he is a comedian but this is one of his more serious ones...
