I got a FB because I used to like this one web series and you could access the extras by sharing the video on FB. and I can't just give my phone number to 100 people who I follow on twitch(a Live streamming site)

I have Facebook because my girlfriend made it for me, threatened to run it as me (with advertised support for the BNP) unless I used it. Turns out it's not that bad, I was very skeptical at first but the way I see it, social media has more benefits than downsides. I run both Facebook for chatting with friends and being able to stay in touch with a wide circle of people easily (very useful considering the wide spread of my friends all over the city) and Google plus to stay on top of scientific and technological advancement. Deleted all the neuroscientists though, those guys are boring.

Maybe, just maybe, if you read carefuly you will find it is, in fact, a video game prize that is being rewarded for the said gaming platforms and not the aforementioned gaming platforms themselves...

A MotiNetwork T-Shirt and most video games are approximately the same price...

People seem to want smaller more frequent prizes. We could offer a big prize like an Xbox if we extended the length of the contest.
But what seems to happen is, someone works really hard, get way ahead of the pack and then everyone gives up. So a smaller monthly prize seems best at this point.
