QuotiFake - Pro's & Cons

Postby M0rd3kaI » Thu Aug 16, 2012 4:31 pm

Ok, so... QuotiFake... it seems like a great idea and I concur, however, here's the dealio...

Would the idea even pass seeing as it's possibly too much like other Moti-Net sites?

And then...

Is it too like MotiFake and numerous other sites to hold it's own if it were to pass?

I mean take PeopleSniper for one, more and more quotes and sayings are coming through there... I for one based a lot of my MotiFakes on famous quotes and sayings... then we get to MotiTwist...

Anyway, I'm being a pessimist... let's hear your opinion for QuotiFake... for and against.

I think it has potential, a made up quote attributed to a famous person (or a motifake member). Let's see if we can come up with a few posters for the thread

Made up quotes... like My Movie Remake onpy for non-movie monents. That is a way to be able to swing the vote in favour of it... sadly... I'm on the phone and soon to go to sleep, however would love to see what people can come up with and then tomorrow give it a shot myself.

C'mon people... surprise us

Spy, there's still a very good possibility that this is a short lived idea... don't get your expectations up, this is brainstorming...

I don't know .... I could probably flood a site like that with posters. It's not hard for me to find meaningful quotes and put some context to them.

Well of course it is easy, but the question is will it take off, no point in making the site if you're the only person posting. This thread is to brainstorm, pro's & cons, picture ideas, to see what can be done. I'll see what I can come up with in a few.. just have to eventually lift my arse out of bed and go to the desktop where all the editing takes place.

I'm not sure how any of that works. Rerun, you host dig my dog right? and most of the time (when I do visit which is not very often) the only submissions I see are from Rerun ...

Do you mean hits? like in other web browsers visiting the site based on submissions?

DigMyDog is an excellent example, yes almost all of the content is supplied by a very faithful Rerun, but for the most part it is a one man race, the absolute ideal site is one that can eventually go onto auto-pilot in essence getting the necessary amount of submissions per day not to stand a chance to be deleted or given to another partner. (Rerun, I really give props to you... how many sites in total are you running if I may ask?)

You can still make some money if you do not have many active members in the submission or comment dept, they still roam the site, but knowing that there is activity is the key... well... at least in my untrained eye it is...
