Simple is always the best way! I had a beautiful meal out the other day, 12 oz grilled beefburger with three cheeses, jalapeños and mushroom with a side of chips, topped off with grilled corn on the cob!

SHITE!!! Sorry about that Hammy, good grief I'm happy that the Edit button still worked... :shock: anyway... pheeewww!

Pizza, sticky BBQ marinated rib and steak pieces... wow... that was nice. Now I have to agree that simplicity is good, but seriously, if I make a sammich, which is as simple as it comes... apparently, it takes me 30 minutes to make a sammich, I usually make 3 which takes me just a tad longer and I really enjoy it, but I better hope to hell that it's enough, otherwise I'm WAAAYYY too lazy to make another one

if nothing fell in it very gently put a hot dog or carrot on top

Here are your possible catches
Rabbit
possum
raccoon

Rabbit:
OK. personally I have a thing for rabbits so I let them go
But to cook
Just skin it
debone
and throw it in a pot of water with your choice of veges
bones you use for decorations
and organs you blend and feed to pets.

Racoons
same as rabbit but add some peppers into the stew
This time de-fur the skin
and dip it into a fryer and nibble on it
Its a interesting exspeiance to say the least

Possum same as the first 2 but dont stew the meat fry it with any seasoning you love

Now speaking of such wild feasts, here is one of my ol' time faves.

Pidgeon... more importantly the largest one you can find... catch and kill (or in my case other way around, I used FluFFy... my air rifle) one (one was enough for me and a few salads, got another one for my aunt, so say one per person)

Pull out all the feathers and cut off the head.
Light a few pieces of newspaper alight in a old pot or something and burn off all the remaining 'hairs' on the body.
From the anus, cut it open along the breast all the way to the neck. be very careful not to puncture any organs... ESPECIALLY not the intestines... believe me.
Pull out the organs gently, seperate the heart, liver and stomach from all the other (Chuck the rest away) cut open the stomach and peel out all it's contents, it's all dry, so no worries here and due to the slight stomachs inner 'wall' you can remove all the undigested seeds and twigs and s*** with ease.
Keep the liver, heart and cleaned stomach.
Continue to further cut open the neck and discover the 'crop' the temporary holding area for all the seeds before they go to the stomach and clean it out.
Cut off the legs and rinse off.

Prepare a pot with a bit of oil and water, mix in potatoes, and veggies to make a stew. Insert the whole pidgeon into the stew and cook for approx 20-40 minutes (Your choice, just cook the meat through and through and all's good) seeing as it's wild, expect it to be extremely dry, reason for putting it in the stew, but even so, have a drink at hand.
