DEMOTIVATIONAL POSTER OUTLINE

1 ) Does the picture match the caption? (If not fix it)

2 ) Can you know what your caption is without a caption and only the picture? (If no then fix it)

3 ) Is your grammar and spelling correct? (If no then fix it)

4 ) Is their any foul language of suggestive words or images? (If yes then remove it or change it)

5 ) Is it racist? (If yes then don't submit it)

6 ) Is the image copyrighted or has a water mark? (If yes then find another image)

7 ) Does the poster already exist? (If yes then don't submit)

8 ) Does it have a deep meaning or funny? (If no then don't submit it)

9 ) Is the image another demotivational poster? (If yes then don't submit it)

10 ) Is it in a demotivational poster format? (If no then don't submit it)

if you follow this your demotivational posters will not be completely terrible

A well executed poster can stand without the picture, keep that in mind when trying to go for Deep posters.

Why can't he post like that all the time!?! In all seriousness, listen yo everything he said there, can somebody with image making skills please turn this into a flow diagram? We could then petition it to be with the poster submission page!

I just realized I said to make sure grammar and spelling is correct and
#4 says
Is their any foul language of suggestive words or images?

and I will try to make a flow chart. Never made one before but I'll give it a shot.

My last one, instead, wasn't even worth an explanation....

I too wish that time could be made for an explanation for rejected material. It is an incredible educational tool and a way for members (okay mostly noobs) to know exactly what to avoid in future posters. For example:
creating a poster that should fit the criteria for acceptance
following the info in this thread and other places in the forum
it is rejected with no explanation.

Now not knowing why, and it's a pic that I particularly like, I ponder whether to rework it or is there something not acceptable to the pic or wording etc. It's frustrating. IMO I would rather wait a little longer for approval or rejection if it means that the mod can tell me why it may of been rejected. Doing this, can actually save the mods some time by not having the same pic posted repeatedly in hopes that it will eventually be approved.

Just my 5 cents (inflation) worth.

Actually when no reason is given, your poster would have been so bad, you shouldn't even attempt to retry it, if that happens to you, yo should go to a dark corner and think about how and what you can do to become less of a disappointment to yourself and all of us.

The shepherd has spoken... But if you still want to... You can always PM a copy of your poster to one you trust... Promise no one will laugh... At least not at you... Mostly... Actually, just avoid Hammy as his review may contain goat-bite marks... Unless, of course, you are into that kind of thing...
