Talk about whatever....

I Have a Problem.

Postby dantheman » Sat Jul 28, 2012 10:01 am

I submitted a poster about cleavage and it was rejected. However, a poster containing a reference to kids staring at a woman's vagina goes to the top of the leaderboard. I think the administrators of Motifake have caught the Democrat Syndrome. You know: bend the rules for your buddies, even break them, yet strictly enforce the rules for everyone else. I don't care about my poster. I'm damned good, so I'll make more. What I do care about is we have one maybe more people running this site who have given themselves the power to proclaim a double standard. The minute you negate your own rules, your rules are s*** and need to be changed or done away with. Or you can just get rid of the people who are saying, "We need to be family friendly! Family friendly!" and yet approve posters about vaginas. So I want that addressed.......really. :x :punch: :chair: :cuss:

I have often disagreed with a mods decision on some of my posters too. But a quick pm to one of them usually clears up the disagreement. The mods here have a really tough job. Although it may look like favortism factors into some of the decisions, I can assure it's not the case. If a poster you create doesn't meet the criteria, there are many other sites that it usually will, which many of the mods will direct you to. Or you can ask for opinions and advice from other members (best place for that is in the forum or to pm one of them). In MotiFake time, I haven't been here very long. But I have learned a lot from mods and members alike. FIRST thing was never take a mods decision as a personal insult to your work or that they single individuals out. Rather, look at it as positive feedback from people that know the sites best.

All you needed to say to get a respectful reply.

Dantheman. I am not a mod here, and can't give direct answers in their name, but the rules for NSFW are loose, although, just hinting in a direction does not mean the poster is that direction, (i.e if it hints in the NSFW region, such as the kids staring at the womans vagina, does not mean it is NSFW) I have not seen the poster in question, so I can not say, but if you are able to 'bend' the wording of the poster to such an extent that it has 2 or more meanings (even if one of them are NSFW) then it has a fairly good pass rate. Then again, cleavage and excessive lack of clothing is under Google Law NSFW, not personal preference.

The mods might have personal preference to the regulars, but even that does not mean they will pass Example My poster and reject yours. Bear in thought that Google can shut this site down in a moment's notice and forbid the MotiNetwork rights to make any money what-so-ever, all the mods already know this and will never approve something that will put their not only reputation, but the whole site on the line. I know it is frustrating, but there is a good reason for each rejection and approval, no matter what it seems like, so if you still have questions as to 'why this and not that' PM any of the moderators (Reality Lord; Rerun; Crankyhead) or take it up with the site administrator "motinet" directly.

Hope this clears all up.

Cheers
Kai

Terminally ill patients often report becoming aware that few people truly listen. They pretend to listen, while in reality they are thinking about what they want to say. I think that's what happened here. So, it's okay that the Mods follow a double standard. Their "job" is tough? Please. Don't make me sick. Let them try to teach writing and reading to inner city teenagers like I do. THEN you can say they have hard jobs. This is not a job. It is a hobby. Sorry to throw cold water in your face, but Internet fun stuff is not a job, not by a million miles. And I'm just going to post what I said again because I'm not interested in exchanging opinions with you. I'm only interested in getting it out there that a double standard is being upheld and I won't stop until it's addressed to my satisfaction and there's really not much you can do about it. I'll be ignoring any replies that aren't from Mods.

I have a solution

Postby rerun » Sat Jul 28, 2012 10:52 am

Here is a mod reply for you:

1. You have a problem with a rejection? PM a mod
2. You have a problem with content already here? PM a mod
3. You create a post about your "problem" and are rude to those who reply? Find another site to play on
4. You think your work is great? lets see how the votes stack up.....your average is 3.61, respectable but far from great
5. You have issues with the site in general? see answer to # 3

You really want to discuss this further I suggest you PM a mod. Next step is yours.

The mods will give you a fair shot at defending your position. A poll may be in order to see if other share your opinion, or maybe one to see if you stay or go?

You got the attention of rerun? All I can say is oops...you done it now. Me I'm just a kick in the groin and was only trying to be helpful. Little respect needed. But a mod... :hail:

Getting your way - 0/5
(I won't stop until it is addressed to my satisfaction and there's really not much you can do about it)
Mods setting you straight - 8.97/5
Good luck with that.

Wanted to add...I was trolling through the park one day...slight Scottish lilt to the harmony...but didn't cuz that would be childish.

Sorry, too much fun with this, long day, nothing much better to do.

Gotta run! I sense a mod near by!
