So with the H1N1 flu picking up speed is anyone fearful of it? Is anyone taking extra precautions to fight it? Is there anyone not getting the shot?

I'm thinking that the H1N1 virus is actually an elaborate terrorist act, and they have inside men working on the vaccine which is actually going to desimate the population.

Any views on what the Post-H1N1 world is going to look like?

I don't much care if I get it but i have 2 kids under 4 and I'm actually pretty scared that they will get it and die from it.

Views? Comments? MotiFakes?

A flu is a flu is a flu....
Call it what you want, you're still going to treat any symptoms like the flu.
Only the young and elderly need to be really concerned (just like the flu  )

I never have and never will get a flu shot.

I don't see what the hell's so scary about H1N1. It's killed...I think the figure was 30,000 worldwide? Feel free to correct that statistic if it's wrong. Regular old influenza kills millions worldwide. Yearly. The vast majority of people who get Swine Flu get over it without medical attention, the exceptions being of course young children and the elderly.

In short, stop freaking out about it.

Not meaning to call anyone a pussy. If you want your kids vaccinated, then by all means go for it. What I was going for was that the majority of people don't have anything to worry about.

No worries, I wasn't implying that you were insinuating the above situation in a negative reflection towards my person. And yeah I'm the only one that really goes out so I'll probably just go, get stuck, and avoid the flu coming in on me. I work at a call center which is the Disease foundation of the world... well that and Mexico... POW!

Now, anyone worried about the post-apocalyptic world ridden with H1N1-infected zombies running amok?

I understand getting the shot for children... you would never forgive yourself IF something happened.

It was swine flu back in the 80s, then spanish influenza, then avian flu, now swine flu again (and when nobody flinched at "swine flu", they re-named it H1N1). And when everybody stopped caring about the bird flu, the called it avian flu.... and it started as an epidemic. When that didn't scare anyone, it became a possible pandemic.

I'll leave you with this thought... in case you think this is something new.

Carnac the Magnificent (remember him?) even announced the QUESTION TO THE FOLLOWING ANSWER IS: "Swine Flu", then opened an envelope that had been sealed in a mason jar on Funk and Wagner's porch since noon that day, and revealed the question to be...

"Name a vacine for which there is no disease."

I agree it's just a hyped up flu. But with people close to panic around me it starts to damage my calm... People. Can't live with them, can't kill them.
