True story, I once stepped in dog poop, tracked it in the house...I walked into EVERY room in the house before I noticed the poop. Thus was initiated our "take off your shoes" policy at my house. Took 2 hours to clean the floors. :(

Look at it this way...you've got a new puppy that keeps pooping on the floor. If you don't clean it up, what have you got? A bunch of poop, and no one wants to visit. We want people to visit and not have to wade through a bunch of crap all day.
