I think this is awesome. You never know what live has in store for us-- paycheque from paycheque, death, whatever. Although, I b**** and complain about life sometimes, I'm always glad for a roof over my head and food in my belly.

Still I keep trying. But I'm not going to apologize for being clear-eyed and clear-minded about it. And no, it's not "easy to fall into homelessness." Very infrequently do people become homeless without a long series of bad decisions behind them.

I've actually tried to help. I've actually washed them when they couldn't control their bodily funtions, cleaned up their vomit when the food upset their empty stomachs. And I see the same ones, over and over, refusing help, jobs, clothes, food.

If you haven't worked with them, you don't know them. Over 90% of the chronically homeless are homeless by preference and by profession. In America, nobody who doesn't want to be stays homeless for long, regardless of the "homeless activist" propaganda.
