Sunset Message

The MotiNetwork will cease to exist March 31st, 2018
Google has done a wonderful job pulling the plug on all of our traffic, and at this point, the sites cost more to run in server resources than the income they bring in. Its been a hell of 10 year ride, but the time has come to sunset the network.

It was so beautiful here. I was out there looking up and got tangled up in the soaker hose along the lilac bushes, No harm done, except to the DH, who'd wandered off with the flashlight. Good thing we live on acreage.

Here in the Pacific North Wet, seeing the harvest moon is an occasion. So last night I got out the SLR, set up the tripod on the back deck…..wonderful sh**s. They’d have been suitable for framing….. if only I’d remembered the video card.

but....I need those things to grill next to my steak to convince the Mrs that I'm trying to eat healthy....d*** you Mother nature!!!!

We live north of the flooding in Colorado. This was prompted because of the thousands of acres of onions and potatoes that are rotting in the fields right now.

also a really bad Neil young song..(aren't they all?)

Sadly, 5L too true. I've lived most of my life in the country and year after year if it wasn't for crop insurance there wouldn't be any $ at all. Huge thank you to all the farmers that are able to put food on MY table every year.

Our shelter has a feral spay program so I'm going to pick up a live trap and see if I can catch her for spaying. I feel so bad about the kittens. I wonder what could have killed them. Seems to me that if it was infectious, mama would be dead too.
lgvernon - September 20, 2013, 6:41 pm

The other one was an orange tabby. Both had long tails. The white one disappeared right away. Yesterday I found the orange one dead in our garage. Haven't seen mama kitty in a week or more. She just showed up in the back garden.

We've had a feral manx cat on our place, off and on, for a couple of years. She showed up about 3 weeks ago with two kittens she was clearly weaning. One of them was really, really beautiful~~white with orange points and a tabby tail.

Sir Stuffington and two siblings survived a raccoon attack on their family. The other two kittens are ok. The shelter I work for is footing the bill for his care while he is in a foster home. His main injuries were a broken jaw and a lost eye.

I will have to go see!~
5150monkeylove - September 19, 2013, 4:19 pm
The kittens name is Sir Stuffington. He has his own facebook page even.
