Of course you’re right, Cy. Take the word, there….oopsy, ‘there’ just became a pronoun, because it’s a direct object….flashback, 4th grade, Mrs Wadsworth…’Uh, teacher, if you took the word ambiguous and placed it up your….’….got in trouble with that one….

Thanks for this; however, "effect" can be a verb too, just not very often. Example, " ..to effect a change.." meaning, to create an effect. (but not the same as "affect", so yeah, most people who get it wrong really get it wrong.
