Haar.... it always happens that way, absolutely. The funny thing is that drug dealers and criminals prosper under this system. They are poorer and/or killed when the mafia took over. Anarchists just don't check history and reality first.

Provided you can't find any other use for the rabbit's foot. Anyhoo, since Nordic Shamanism is off the table, I gotta check out. See ya 'round, guys.

Just like that, TTH.... or, when the troll keychains aren't selling like they used to, so you go out and create some lucky rabbit-foot keychains.

Interesting point regarding the vacuum allowing for the entry of organized crime. I can't think of a single instance where this hasn't been the case.

I only know about their anti scientology stance. My opinions about religion differ slightly from yours though. I dont wanna wait 2000 years to call a cult a cult. Their history is the only reason i show respect to the older religions.

I just don't like the Anonymous clan, as they are organized anarchy. And the agents of anarchy, upon succeeding, always fail/die first. They are just the non-confrontational, sissy version of the 80's punk-rock anarchists.

That's my point. They all run their course. Show them respect. Disrespect is history's job, not ours.

And remember much of the world now considers all religions mythology. Myself included.

how does it differ from a cult though? They control every aspect of members lives and believe in an evil alien warlord. how do they differ from most cults? and why do they only have religion status in a few countries.

Scientology, we can call bonkers... and it is. BUT, you have to give them the same respect as all the other religions that are now considered mythology. They were all considered legitimate in their time.

And there is where organized crime takes over.

But the Anonymous clan attacks more than Scientology. It's the general government constrictions they wish to relieve. It's anarchy without long-term vision. They want to remove what they perceive as wrong, but don't have a plan for the aftermath....

They lack nerve, social skills and organization.

My only point was that in a non-conformist society, anarchists are the first to receive a chicken-wire hug.

www.xenu.com its so weird it's funny! They have a policy ststing that if a members family is not 100% in support of the church the member must sever all ties with that family. forever. They limit procreation among members because children distract members

Can't say as I'm too familiar with Scientology, m'self. Not a lot of practioners in this neck of the woods. And that's okay. We're a little short on Nordic Shamans, too. And that's not okay.

Scientology is only considered a religion in a few countries. L.Ron Hubbard was once quoted as saying that "if a man wants to make real money he should start his own religion". Hard to respect a "religion" started by a bad sci-fi author.

And if you think the current governing bodies are unfair and restricting, you have no idea how quickly anarchy is eradicated under organized crime. Anarchy is the last thing anyone should wish for.

The shallow logic of this "movement" shows the flaws in the core anarchist agenda. You may be against "big brother", but take it from someone well-versed... accept and work with the current "establishment", as anarchy gives way to organized crime.
