In your pocket? Or a roomful of vinyl albums in a zippo sized case? No. And this generation couldn't plow a field with horses, either. That's why I think it's apples and hockey pucks.
Haarakkon - December 20, 2012, 1:31 pm
I believe that to be true of every generation, actually. I also think there's a tendency to degrade the accomplishments every generation makes. Did the greatest generation go to Mars? Make a device that allows you to carry a chunk of the National Library

Hearing, ah yeah, glasses, better, but to bear the thought of being the most spoiled….if so, I think the next one well be taking those honors soon enough
robbidos - July 29, 2012, 3:44 pm
Put your glasses on, Gary, so you can hear
GaryO - July 29, 2012, 2:32 pm
Huh?
Haarakkon - July 29, 2012, 1:18 pm
I agree. I also don't mean to impugn that generation, they did what needed to be done. I believe ours and any others would, too, though. It's an eternal b****, that of "kids these days", but I think the gap now is larger than it's ever been.
SteveFurlong - July 29, 2012, 9:50 am
Thought-provoking. One thing about the "greatests": whatever good they may have done, as a generation they created the boomers, the most spoiled and self-centered group of Americans in centuries.
